The sump........

Major drama.......

its back the front ......

Cant be converted easilly because the oil galley for the oil pump is drilled too short .........

meaning.... the oil pump & pickup is in the wrong spot and cant be shifted easilly.

It can be done, by making a new pickup for the oil pump. Sadly the main oil gallery just isnt drilled far enough as there is a 2nd mounting position for the oil pump cast into the block so it would be a straight forward conversion if that gallery was drilled out.

I've drilled out a couple but its not as easy as it sounds, the drill bit needs to be 550mm long !, & if it breaks during the drilling .......

you'll need a Plan 'B'

Plan 'B' = shifting the front diff as far away from the sump as posiable

ok thanks guys, i have been talking to the boys on ozdat and they reckon the heads from any L6 are interchangable..., so how hard do ya reckon it would be to wire up a fuel injection system.... engine comes with the loom and computer....
