Feroza Distributor Cap wear

When I bought my Feroza it had done around 200,000km so I did a little maintenance. The high tension posts inside the cap were eaten away and the carbon brush was worn to the point where it barely extended past the plastic moulding. The rotors' centre was also not happy. Ok you have to expect things to wear, it wasnt running badly but fitted a new cap and rotor.

Had the cap off again today just for a check / clean and you guessed it the carbon brush is worn right down again in around 15,00km - the HT terminals are fine this time . The inside of the rotor also had a buildup of carbon on the brass contact.

Checked the cap height, rotor height, shaft protrusion, spring lenght and brush length against other distributors and it all seems right. Replaced the brush and cleaned rotor so its all good now but :?

Anyone else see this sort of wear on the carbon brush ? Any thoughts ?

Might be worth checking yours ?

I've got a spare complete distributor looking for a home. Any offers? :D

I'll even throw in a set of spare ignition leads (originals that were removed working.)

If anyone is interested PM me.
