Hello there,
I want to go bigger tyre's how is the ride though with something like a 35 or would it be safer to go 33's my misses occasionally drives the car (only when i'm too pissed to) i have a 2inch suspension lift already. I was reading the other threads and also did search for this but cant find out what sort of ride people are getting. I have standard 31/10.5's at the moment and it drives good. As this is my daily and weekend warrior i just cant decide on what way to go.
Any comments or flames would be nice!

Not really fussed on the power as it is a slug anyway but later on might go turbo so who knows

put 35's on it.
you might need to trim the guards a touch but you'll be right.

anyway of getting the 35's on with a 2 inch lift or do i have to go higher.
Don't really want to go to much higher cause like i said the misses has to drive when I'm pissed and if its to much of a boat she wont be happy.

Put 37"s on it, with 2" lift will be straight bolt-on.

take a grinder to guards, lose mudflaps, move control arms, lots of stuff.
go with 33's if you want easy, and for wife to drive.

35's are illegal without engineering. some insurance companies wont allow 35's
4bing is a learning curve, start with 33's.

i have been 4wheeling a fair bit but with my cousins who are running 37's and some crazy lift i dont want to go that big like them i still want some drivability but i also dont want to be left behind when we go out together.

have a look at the pic, you can see that theres less than an inch between the body and the ground. When you go bigger tires, you will try more things, harder things. So either do it right once, or work your way up to it.
there are threads on how to fit 35's on GQ's, plenty of them, but you have been told most of it. I'd say he hit heaps of guard with grinder to fit those tires.

Urr ... there is plenty of info in there about how to fit bigger tyres.
Do you think your time would be well spent reading peoples experiences and picking up some extra info along the way?
Or would you like me to spend my night searching for you ... ?

to fit 35's and not look retarded and also to clear guards min. 2 inch sus and 2 inch body lift
for 35's like m117, simex , boggers etc you will have to chop guards
35 bfg's, coopers etc you dont have to chop guards you may have a very small amount of rubbing but nothing to worry about
if your in melb south east i can fit 2 inch body lift for couple of hundred or so
if you get 35's look at fitting 4.6's gears
or just put up with the snail trail down the road

He he. Do yourself a favour MPRZIV and set aside a few hours tonight to sit down and READ throught the Nissan section, and use the SEARCH function to have a look what everyone else does. There is so much crap on here about fitting 35's to GQ wagons that its just not funny. Do what I (and every other person) did when they were new - READ UP.
You might be able to take the flaming, but once you start p!ssing people off asking silly questions, they'll just ignore you.
Cheers - Coxy
PS. Just go 33's, nice "ride", doesn't suck too much power, and your missus will reckon it looks porno too!!
