Ok guys I think it is about time that we got all the Zuks together for a weekend of fun. Give Redzook and Greg a chance to finally settle the SPOA vs SPUA battle. Just nutting it out at the moment.
Need some ideas of a when and where, was thinking
a/ the Berridale property that Wendle raves about sort of centralish for Melb & Syd
Would need to be over at least a long weekend I'd imagine.
Anyway lets start a long and rambling thread about this and get no where with any real plans.

I gather we (melbourne folks) would head out there via Lakes Entrance and then straight up to Berridale, or via Orbost and the Monaro Hwy.
(yes i have a melways on my desk at the moment

)

I will be there as well ... but my money will be on me .. as it will most likely need to stop of at a garage somewhere to get fixed on the way ...

I was thinking it might be clever to do a big tow up to there and back...
i.e. 3 days hire on a trailer / truck would be pretty easy to justify when compared to wear and tear, plus towing costs of getting your car back to melbourne if you encounter technical issues out there

probably the best way as we can stop at my parents farm in Goongerah on the way there and back, also be able to leave any broken cars there if need be

I don't think there are many national long weekends so was thinking it may have to be a normal weekend that people take a day either side of it to make a long weekend.

My trusty diary tells me the following (at least this was current for 2003):
National Holidays
NYD - 1st Jan
Aust Day - Jan
Good Friday - April
Easter Monday - April
Anzac Day - April
Queens Birthday - June
Xmas - Dec
Boxing Day - Dec
NSW Holidays
Bank Day - August
Labour Day - October
VIC Holidays
Labour Day - March
Melbourne Cup Day - Nov
Have to agree - make it some random weekend... Plan it in advance so people can make the commitment to it.

p.s. though it would be clever to do it during uni holidays - that would mean most people would / could be free right?

I am pretty sure you guys will be most welcome, give me a date to work with and I'll run it past cal (the owner)
either come up through lakes entrance & cann river, or up the hume then through talbingo and adaminaby way....
you melbourne dudes with big-ass tyres will need lots of spare CV's and axles. the mud has dried into large, hard, grippy, random formations

there are plenty of zook pieces lying around the yard! i'm sure i could make a sierra box trailer with a rear bence seat for 2.

If anyone else has some ideas for places to run this pipe up we want to hear. All alternatives are good. What about the Willowglen property of the Landcruiser club would they let Suzukis on for a weekend, does anyone know anyone to ask?

i strongly feel this should be open to all makes, not just suzukis.

Another area that would be a similar distance for both parties would be out near Albury-Woodonga... isn't that where Gut's is located? Perhaps he can direct us to some cool areas out that way?

I think my local lawn bowling club is having a get together this weekend Nam - you'd probably qualify for that too once you get the volvo's under there
