Hi all ...... Im planning on putting a swift 16b 16v engine into my sierra, already got lots of helpful info from this great site, but I have two questions.
1.My motor is a single point injection model ,will this put out the same power as the mpi model,70kw.
2Would I be better using a 1300 gti head as I have a recond and mildly worked one,or would the rev range be to high especially considering the strength of the 1600 bottom end
thanks

the 1.3 t/c heads you are talking about are great for on road use, they love to rev.
but
depending on what you want to do off road- will determin your own answer!
the 1.3 t/c heads as far as I know dont realy get any good power (torque) untill 31/2grand.
sound good for lots of high speed motacana type stuff,
but not that great for climbing hills or mud runs,
(depending on the type of mud that is)
probably more suited to a Daily Driver in my opionion.
but then again some people live to rev the s^*t out of there motors.

i beleive the 1.6 mpfi heads flow more than the gti heads. thou not twincam.
i think the tbi/spi model would be down on power from the mpfi but it would be more than the carb version.

I've got a twin cam motor in mine. They are great offroad, just require gearing and less fear of using the right boot as they'll rev all day and night and come back for more.

Thanks for the quick reply I might go the standard head for now, as this car has to go over the pits easy.As I find out more info on the matter then I can decide if the gti head idea is feasible.
