I am told the Suzuki Carry has an F8A engine in them, same as an LJ80, but set at an angle, I assume laid over somewhat.

Are the sumps the same shape, and interchangable? Or did they use different sumps for the 2 vehicles.

The F8A in the vans are almost totally laying over on their side. As such, the sumps are completely different. I don't know if they are interchangable though.

NO THE SUMPS ARE DIFFERENT.

the ST90 and Carry sumps are different to LJ and SJ410 the engines fit and bolt up but have clearance probs under flex, sump and pickup are both different, I've tried before with a bad result

The F8A in the vans are almost totally laying over on their side. As such, the sumps are completely different. I don't know if they are interchangable though.

I am currently rebuilding an LJ80 for my daughter. It came with an F10A motor already fitted. But, the clearance between sump and front diff pumpkin is almost non existant.

I have been told the fix is to fit an F8A sump and pickup to the motor, but I am having trouble sourcing one. Just looking at all avenues.

Can you modify the F10 sump?

Yep, that has been a train of thought, maybe even reverse it so the dropped section and pickup are in the front.
