Outer Limits 4x4 Board

anyone got feedback on maxxis "big horns" vs others. do about 60% road so just wanted to know if the muddys last. Yes i should use all-terains but i have my eyes set on the big horns, they look sweet

I have only done about 5k km on my bighorns - so too early to comment. But I have a seet of MTRs (almost identical pattern) - but likely different compound...

The 285/75-16 (33") MTRs have done about 40k km and still have at least 2/3 tread. I am hoping I can get the Bighorns to last that long.

I have a set of 33x12.5 Big Horns on my 60 and i love them, i have done about 20 000km on them so far and they seem to be wearing very well. Most of my driving is on road as well.

I have had mine on Mav for 2 weeks seem Good.. For price there Tops. i paid $245 ea.

have not been Rough bush yet but have tried stuff close by and they seem Heaps Good..

remember as GWagensteve said before, all tires are pretty good for first 10-20,000 klms...
Once they loose the square edge thats when you find out how good they really are.. also the main reason comp tires are usually forsale after 2-3 comps, the edge has gawn.

I've had the 32" ones on for about 5K and the front left outer edge has worn quite a lot, to the point that the small sipes have gone but my camber/caster isn't right and there's lots of roundabouts on the routes I drive.
If you dont do much offroad driving the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders would be a better choice. They're quieter, grip way better on wet and dry tarmac and wear a lot better. They dont work so well in clay mud or the rocks tho.

I've had mine for 30 000+ and they a great, the front ones are wearing unevenly but that is because the alignment is out , the back ones are fine, but they are macking some noise now.

They still work good in the bush, but most of the k's are from road driving, and there on a HEAVY work ute .

I will definatly buy them again, best tyres i've owned, had MTR's, BFG's.

i have had mine for a while now they are about down to 70% on the road really good nice and quite for a mud tyre but in the bush....... lets just say they arnt quite as good as what i hoped for.... from has JT2 and can get some where 2wd and when i come along i need 4wd low. is at all.

my brother has 33"s on his Tj .. wont got back to them due to the fact that he has torn lugs off ... due to the fact of soft rubber we believe

but he does comp

your suprised about that? JT's are pretty flammin aggressive and a damn good tire...

well I have 33/12.5/15 GT Radial Muds they O.K it the bush and very quiet on the road for that pattern.

I've torn some big chunks in my bighorn lugs as well and I dont drive them aggresively offroad. That being said they grip pretty well in the rocks even when coated with mud.

got 33 12.5 maxxis buck shots on my troopy similar tread too bfg muddys just looking for new ones know becauase im heading west for a few weeks still ok for road use think bit low for offroad iv done 78'000 ks on em and been realy happy
