need help for 80 series starter

Post by cookiesmonsta »

i drowned my car the other day and burnt out the winch getting it out. as i was up to my waist in mud and water i realised i would have to attend to electrics. alternator had a stuck brush and that is now charging fine but even though i pulled the starter out and had it working fine on the ground using jumper leads it wont work in the car. just get a click click when i turn the key. any ideas would be great

Check solenoid contacts, they're the most likely candidate.
