GQ Stock Locker problems

Hi All

The GQ I bought had a stock diff lock in it. The switch was broken so I went out and bought a Navara switch to do the job. We checked which wires had power when and then wired it up to the switch accordingly. When we turn the switch to the on position the light on the dash does not light up but there is vacum pressure coming from the solenoid however the diff lock does not seem to engage. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Cheers

Had a problem with the car and it went to car heaven. I have since bought another one with the same factory locker. The vaccum hose going from the solenoid down was spit and that has been replaced. However there seems to be a problem with the switch now. It comes on when the factory switch is in the off position and turns off when the switch is in the on position. Thats my next thing to fix. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I think you'll find that the problem lies in the routing of the vacuum hoses, not the switch.

Ahh I see I shall have to test that theory by swapping the hoses around. Cheers for that Ruffy.

It needs vacum to engage and disengage the locker. ie 2 solenoids so the switch needs to provide power both on and off.
