hi everyone, going to have a shot at changing my leaking cam seal on my sj70. i did a search and read the bible but cant find much info. the www.suzukiinfo.com manual didnt really say either.

if someone can give me a rough breakdown on what's involved and maybe an estimated job time that would be great!

so far i think you remove belt, fan, waterpump pulley, 4bolts on crank pulley, take off timing cover then i'm not sure how to get the cam pulley off! will prob put a new timing belt on too i'm thinking.

thanks

well i made a start on it. radiator out, then fan shroud (that was a pain), the rest came off no problem. (love these car's, all you need is a 10mm socket for almost everything :D)

i stopped there. need to take the cam gear off and timing belt. the front crank seal look like its weaping too. any tips on changing that while i'm at it?

Also does anyone run their zooks without the fan shroud? i was thinking of leaving it off if it runs fine without..

thanks

Leave the fan shroud on. WIthout it you will find that it won't cool as efficiently as the shroud helps the fan to suck the air through the radiator.
