Ok if you put a std 80 springs in the rear and same in the front the rear would sit lower than the front ...cooter wrote:std 80s fronts give a disco 3.5 inches of lift roughly
Yep thats about it i did much the same on a rangie ...4WD Stuff wrote:When I put my standard Rangie rear coils in the front it gave me a 2" lift from a stock height. This is because the standard coils would have been sagged a bit. I imagine it would have been 2.5" from where it was sitting in its sagged state.

Well that explains it betacooter wrote:mate i have custom mounts in my disco but i am running 4inch lift 80 springs in the rear 2 inch lifted 80s springs in the front i made the front perches a bit higher gives me about7 inches over standard height (aprox)
I can get you coils and that will sit you any height that you want but they will be Range Rover coils not 80 Series. I will need to know what accessories you have so we can get her to sit level.Nice_Surf wrote:So will the 80's fronts in the rear of the Rangie give it a 3.5" lift or is it less ??
I'm just trying to sort it out as I only want about 2" - 2.5" lift and I have been looking around for a 2" lift at ARB, Ironman and a few others but all I keep getting told I can only get about a 30mm - 40mm max and don't seemed to be to interested in helping me at all after I told them it was for a Rangie![]()
I'm looking at 2" as I wan't to try and fit some 275/75/16's under itand I am willing to trim the guards to fit them if need be as I already have the flexi flares donated to me

You are going to have to trim your guards no matter what. You have to trim them for 31" tyres and you are planning on 33" tyres just about. Make sure you draw it first. Don't do it free hand like me![]()

Yep no probs cooter mate i understand about lux's with bigger motors on the beach they just cant handle the work and keep their cool ...cooter wrote:iwas gunna head over to see ya lokka but my mates lux was gettin real hot and i had to tow a couple of people out of lavis"s
will meet up another time mate
and the reason i went 8o series springs was that the spring rates i wanted were an off the shelf item for the 80 but custom for the rover most of the parts on my truck are easily accesable parts
10 spline or 24? I got 10 splines for slabs of pissWish I had coils wrote:mate just 2 inch springs and about a 32inch tyre on his disco and it scrubs like a dog.
