need help with jackaroo

hi people

i need a bit of help as i dont know tooo much about jackaroo,
firstly i dont know what liter motor i have its built on 12/85 4 door lwb 5 speed man,

secondly my 4x4 low rang gear jumps out? any idea why?

thirdly every morning or late night my auto hubs seem to make a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz noise, to stop it i have to reverse it 1m to unlock any idea there?

the motor on the old girl leaks like i donno what dose this modle have the mach fuel pump? like in the 2L



this seems to be a great car thought and would like to fix her up and joint the 4x4 club any help is much like thanx

dunno about any of those questions, but we had a jackaroo, until of course the engine decided to do itself in and go bang,
apparently holden put the wrong size bolts inside the engine somewhere, probably the bolts that hold the piston rods to the crankshaft, because one fine afternoon one of the pistons went flying the the top of the engine :?
I'd look into it. apparently most were called back, but ours was one that didn't.

Probably 2.0 or 2,3 litre - I reckon 2.3 litre. If you need to replaxce the motor at any stage you can go 2, 2.3 or 2.6 with a little work.

Gearbox jump either due to not enough clearance for lever or r00ted tranfer case. Can't answer that without seeing.

The hubs can be rebuilt or at least cleaned up and regreased.... they're not that hard but first time out you might need some help since how they work is a little funny.

Don't fill them with heaps of grease or they wont work.

thanks people found its 2.3L

there arte no linkages on the gear box for the gear shifts its all internal,
as for transfer case what sort of dollors are we talking to replace?

now hubs, i do have brand new bearings holden jackarook front wheel hub kit H109
7/84-87 im not sure if these are the wright ones anyone out tcan help with this would be good.
