Morning,
has anyone had any experience with these tyres. They are to go on a 4Runner. I would love to tell you that I do 4wding everyday, but i would be lying! I do probably 70/30 road/dirt. The dirt driving is mostly touring, sometimes stuff a little harder, but i am still looking for a some what more agressive tyre than the usual 70/30. These seem to be a good comprimise, but in saying that, if anyone has a different option, i will look into that too.

Just to be different :D
very good AT tire IMHO,I ran them (D90) for a few years,
very good road manners, good on wet and snow.
Just a tad easy to cut on rocks though.
Long lasting.

Mine were 235/85 16.

Hope this helps.

That is a great site because of all the reviews. Thanks to Slunnie I wasted hours of my time. I have now decided on my next tyres though.

Cheers

Sorry Shane. Actually, I do the same.

I think that it's an unreal site, although it doesn't make comment about off road performance. Interestingly also the AT's rate better than HT's for some reason.

The bad thing about that site, is that based the information in there, for a set of roadies I also decided to get a set of PIrelli ATR's, but they don't come into Australia in my 285/75-16 size and I got the run around getting them in via a tyre shop and Pirelli... well, Tire rack will send them to me and they will cost about the same price as what they are here including freight but without fitting. sooo, all of those cool US only tyres like the BFG MT KM2 can be had here through tire rack after a couple of days postage from the US.

Be careful on that site because some USA model tyres have the same name as models we get here but they're totally different tyres (even the tread pattern!)

So, how does one proceed cautiously? How do you know if it is different?

I'm also interested in an AT... unfortunately they don't have Mickey Thompson, Dick Cepak(sp?) and Kelly's there.
