Hey i was getting some u-bolts from repco yesterday, and just out of curiosity i asked about a price on some springs, and 2" heavy duty springs roughly cost between $70 and $80 a spring for front and rears.
well when i went in to repco this morning they said they had a set of springs to suit my suzuki but of standard replacement, and they didn't look too bad, the front springs have the main leaf roll the otherway round to normal, like my old carrolls front springs.
Well what i wanted to know is if anyone is using them and what do they think of them?

i havnt used them but they would probably be OK for the price. i would definately not get the h/duty ones. they wont flex.
i work at repco myself and i am going to arb to buy OME springs instead.

Wouldnt touch them, i got them cheap for my zuk when i worked at repco cost me like 120 for the set. The front ones fitted but inverted the shackle and the rear ones were so arched i couldnt even get them in properly.
I took them back and got my money back and Maxi Trac acknowledged that they had the wrong spring setting in there and i think it was about 6 or 7 out of 10 that would actually fit.
Saying that tho they were sposed to be changing the spring arch and settings so they fit 100% that was a while ago so it should be changed now.
But really theyre probably still not worth worrying about and OME arent that much more expensive.

I have them on at the moment. Reason i bought them was the price. I find that the fronts work extremely well and are quite soft so provide good flex. The rears i found were very rigid, however i did get the h/duty springs. once im loaded with camping gear they ride really well. Did not have a problem with fitment either. If i was to get them again i would go standard though.

cool thanks everyone
i wasn't going to get them for mine dad is in deperate need to upgrade his springs in his, i think the only reason we looked at them is because i got quoted $1100 for a full ome suspension kit plus fitting.

yeah, i was quoted 950 odd + fitting for the ome gear too. but i'm piecing my susp together bit by bit on a budget. ebay bushes, ome springs with supercheap/gabriel shocks will be around 400 cheaper but not "quite" as good..
