Hi all.

My 35L Waeco fridge runs corretly on 240V mains but keeps flashing error when on 12V ( aux battery )
The aux battery is fully chrged and runs an 80L no probs.

Any ideas where I could start looking?

Cheers

Ive heard that the thermal fuse can cause issues.

search a bit for that here and google.

Check your lead from the connect to the internals of the fridge, is it damaged, or kinked etc.

I have also heard of Circuit board frying before.

I had a problem on Fraser, which turned out to be a dodgy connection in the back of the socket. It has an in-bulit fusible link with a fuse element crimped into brass - one of the connections picked up some resistance, enough to cause a significant voltage drop when the fridge drew current.

Measure the socket with no load - all OK.
Measure the wire where it attaches to the back of the socket under load - all OK.
Get the multimeter onto the contact in the middle of the rear of the socket - 4V! :bad-words:

Some booty-fab bypassed the fusible link, and it's still going strong! Although I've since installed a Merritt socket for my new fridge. :D
