Pinion Flange Sizes

My 4.88 front hilux centre has a different sized flange to my 5.29 centre and the tail shaft won't bolt up.
I tried to swap the flanges over, but the splines are different :x

My next step (I think) is to try and get the slip yoke end of the tail shaft with a smaller uni. Does this make sense to anyone, any ideas what model I should be looking for ?

I know you can get multi drilled flanges but it think they'd be for the common lux diffs why not get your 5.29 flange multi drilled to suit your drive shaft

I'm pretty sure (but I'll have to double check) that the pinion flange isn't big enough to allow drilling of holes that are wider apart.

Did earlier models have smaller unis or something ?

I have been drilling the flanges to take both early and late tailshafts on Hilux diffs for years
It sounds like you have a 5.29 diff out of a 70s Hiace van with 8mm holes
clock the tailshaft and drill 10.5 mm between the existing holes
