Does anybody know something about it? It's my last dream (or nightmare?).
Any info will help... I need to know any potential problems regarding the size etc. The engine that i have in mind is the V8 magnum 5.2L from the Grand Cherokee.
Here is my source of inspiration (what a sound!)

There are a few floating about NZ.

P76 and Windsor V8's

And a couple of LS1 powered Gen 2's.

Just do it! everything will fit - depends on the size of the hammer....

Thanks.
My basic doubt is about the automatic gearbox. I've heard about so much problems...

Sorry no. I know one was a Red SWB J top as I saw it for sale after it had been done. I think it used the paj transfer case.

I think the other one was also a SWB.

The place that did them was 4WD Upgrades they call themselves. Do quite a bit of custom work.

http://www.4wdupgrades.co.nz/ but there is very little on the site.

What about the auto gear boxes? Do they need frequent services? Do they have many problems? Is a manual gear box a good alternative? I'm afraid a manual gearbox can't "pass" the huge torque of a V8 to the wheels smoothly as an auto. Too many questions... sorry

auto boxes are just smoother with any engine no jerking around and all, there is a guy here that has a chevy 350 V8 and a sm420 4spd which has about a 7:1 first gear ratio that would be a good choice if you were to go manual.
