then either call Ryano, or PM him on here. He will be open tomorrow. Tell him you saw them here... HEs a great bloke to deal with, dozens on here use him - even those across the country.
Prepare yourself, they are not cheap.

I also used M/T classic lock on my comp rig, with staun internal bead locks
as they wanted to promote a look that was legal to drive on the road.
these were a good combination (fitted n supplied by Ryan) I put them through hell for 2 years of comps & still look sexy on our tow rig...
they were probably the only road legal thing on it !!!!!!!!

They are called F rims and are around $490 a rim in the 15x10 size I got. Probably slightly cheaper if you dont want real beadlocks on them, however IMO if you want fake ones then go something like the Mickey Thompson Classic Locks.

thats because the F rims are actual real beadlocks, not fake beadlocks.they are also made from ten mm thick inners and also reinforced rings on the inside of the rim as well...they are not fake steely cheapo beadlocks like what you want

Are they as good off road as fake beadlocks?

the reason why i want "fake steely cheapo beadlocks" is because there is no areas around here to go rock crawlin etc to justify havin real ones, ive never had a problem with beads fallin off in the past so why be a wanka an get the real deal for no reason?
i just like the look of them and would like that lil bit more protection around the outer rim.
plus i wasnt expectin a price tag of around $490 for a bludy steel rim!
no doubt they are worth it and are top quality for what their intended use is but as i said they will never be really used for what they are built for

Sorry, I'm not really having a go. Buy whatever you want, but if someone who buys a real beadlock but doesn't really need one is a wanker, what's someone who doesn't want a beadlock because they don't need them but wants to look like they do?
I just don't understand the appeal of fake beadlocks. They're a pain to keep clean, run the risk of hassles from the law, they're heavy and expensive.
If you're not loosing beads, I bet you don't need the "added strength" of the fake beadlock ring either.
Steve.

Indeed, when you can be an even bigger wanker with fake ones
Like gwagansteve said, they can be a pita to keep clean, draw unneccesary heat, and affect wheel balance when full of mud, etc.

For a guy who drives a Datsun quoting a guy with a G wagen you do make a lot of sense.
Fake beadlocks are kind of pointless, if you want strong steel rims buy a set of Dynamic steel wheels then spend the change on something more useful than fale beadlocks like chrome wheel nuts.

who cares whhat someone else thinks looks good or not. If he wants them then so what, get them.He might think a olive drab Sierra is stupid or that a GQ on 35s is stupid.

It's got nothing to do with how they look, it's that they're pointless and have all the disadvantages of a real beadlock with none of the advantages, unless pretending is an advantage.

to some people it is about the look of the vehicle and so be it if that is the result they want

If it was about looking good why put a fake beadlock on a crappy steel wheel ??

And for those WHO ACTUALLY USE their vehicle. Beadlocks (fake or real) collect m ud, stones and all kinds of crap inside the lock ring. This inturn puts wheels out of balance (sometimes in a big way) and can effect other components not to mention that it's a pain in the ass to get the mud out of there.
If its for strength, Dynamic rims are VERY strong. Haven't had any personal expirence with the 4bys rims myself.
If it's for looks one would assume that the owner would be looking at alloy.

Who cares if he uses it for the purposes you don't think are actual use. His actual use may not involve mud or stones, it may only be for touring who knows. He obviously wants them for looks and if that is the look he likes why is that a problem?
Or if you are trying have a dig at me again for whatever reason the Suzi club guys seem to do, I don't have to explain or justify my 4wding to you. I do as much as I like and enjoy hence why I'm not in the club anymore

I'm not telling him NOT to buy them, i was simply pointing out my PERSONAL expirences from ACTUALLY having used them myself (both real and fake ones). Simply put, they might give you the tough look but they're a PITA to maintain.
He says he's in Mildura. In my limited expirence (4 weeks a year over 3 years) in the area i've found that although it doesn't rain every day, but when it does the every dirt road, paddock ect turns to MUD, very sticky MUD.
And not taking a dig at you. It "sounds" like you have had a great deal of expirence with them.

I've never put in input on the pros and cons of them other than provide him with a link to some wheels as per his question. So don't really know how that can SOUND like experience or not.
I'm not debating the pros and cons of them and he wasn't either by his question all he wanted to know was prices and who has them. For all we know maybe he has taken all the pros and cons on board and decided to get them. He also just wants that little more added protection for the rim edges but doesn't want alloys.

thanks grimbo... you are right, i only asked who an how much. i wasnt sure if i was going to get them or not.

Good to see a lot of opionins. But if you want them and can't find then they are easy to make. Use either sunnys or rond hole or whatever rim you like and get a sheet metal shop to cut some rings for you. You can have big or little holes, drill holes for bolts as well and have the ring as big as you like.Paint the rim and the fake ring whatever colour like, weld it to the rim and that's it. saw some on a jeep and they looked great.
Good luck

Steve.
Fake beadlocks to have advantages over a standard rim, they help protect the rims edges from rock damage. If do damage the ring you can just replace it instead of buying a whole new rim. I will be getting a set of fake beadlock alloys because I have damaged all my alloy rims edges on rocks.

I've got Mickey Thompson Classic Locks, purely for the looks. Guess that means i'm a wanker.
This wanker chooses to take the rings off when he goes wheeling so they don't collect mud and shit as mentioned above. Plus, any scuffing around the edge of the rim quickly gets invisible after I put the ring back on during non wheeling/clean times.
Admittedly though my current 4Runner is mainly set up as my car, to look and go good. I certainly wouldn't buy them for a dedicated off road toy, only because they cost too much to just trash.

Another wanker checking in with fake beadlocks (two sets actually...hehe)....They look cool, but are a pain in the arse with mud! They have protected the alloy rims several times in the rocks but, and I'd rather scratch the steel outer ring, then the alloy rim. Haven't had any dramas with balancing but....the mud seems to distubute itself evenly around the rim at speed and keeps the balance ok.
