I recently overhauled my Disco1 central locking. I had been replacing the motors gradually as they failed with Jaycar units. After I had replaced 3 I had trouble with the system and once I had replaced all of the motors it wouldn't work unless the engine was running. Voltage drop too great over the tiny wiring. I ended up rewiring the entire system and using the Jaycar controller. Hooked to the alarm that was already fitted (aftermarket).

However if all you want is to hook the alarm to the factory setup this is how mine was done originally (by previous owner).
Fit an aftermarket motor to the driver's door. In the bottom rear corner of the door below the lock up and down thingo. Connect the new lock motor to the door mechanism with the supplied rod and clamp. Wire the new door motor to the alarm. When the alarm makes this motor go up and down then the lock mechanism will trip the original master switch/motor and the rest of the system will follow.

The Disco1 central locking is controlled via the driver's door master switch. There is no control box as such.

Easy peasy however if you are having trouble with any of your door locks I'd fit the entire Jaycar system and be done with it. Otherwise you'll just have to fit it later anyway.
