IFS to coil conversion on hilux

Hey guys i'm working on putting a 79 series front diff/suspension set up into my 03 hilux and was wondering do i need to put in a 79 or 80 series steering box and if so will my hilux steering shaft fit into it any help ismuch appreciated and yes i've done a search

I's say run the one you have but you'll need the pitman arm off a 80 series cruiser or some others may fit as the ifs pitman arm has the ball in it.

I think you can stil buy IFS pitman adaptors. It attaches to the pitman arm then has a thread on the end which is the same as an 80 series tie rod end. So it effectively turns the IFS pitman arm into one...
Try bbm maybe, used to be an ORI product.

just get a cruiser coil box. itll be easier in the long run. after all it was original so it should be better suited right
if you push the diff forward a bit the box will be in the wrong position anyway and will foul on the panhard etc. so set it up and then do the box maybe or sort out what you want and roughly guess if you need it. remember the coil pitman arms face forward where your oem ifs box faces back.
