Seen your bus go at a few comps hope this motor has a lot more bang for the bucks that you've spent on it no pun intended (the old motor was pretty tuff)
Pity your going to stick the old motor in a junker and send it to the states (USA)

real question: why did you bother to bling up the exhaust headers if you are going to turbo it?

I'll say that, you have some nuts, trying to screw that sort of power with only 5 bearings holding the crank to the block is like jumping out of a plane with nanna's undies for a parachute. it might work, but you might end up with your pride and joy splattered on the road.

The block has a few extras to try and save using nanna's undies and their are only 4 mains in a 2F this been one of the extras. The crank has been nitrated and cross drilled to to help oiling. We are also running higher quality Jag Con Rods from a 4.2 straight 6 with ARP Rod Bolts

The headers will go to something like this

$13,000 on a 2F, I can`t wait till I can say I told you so :finger:
Could have allmost done a drive in drive out gen 3 conversion for that.
Or got a BRAND NEW gen 3 with every thing bolted to it brand new as well and done the conversion yourself for that.

I know I may fall flat on my face but got to give me credit for trying :D

What the engine is capable of is one thing what we use is another, it was built not just for power but the be reliable when we don't use all of the power hopefully we will have reliability.

The wolfs ECU rev limiter will only be around 5000 to 5500 tops it will go a lot further but I doubt we will need to.

300kW at 5000rpm is about 600Nm. mmm, pretzel crank.

hi mate

good luck with the boat anchor.

I was looking at your site when i noticed that you imported the power steering bracket for your truck from the states because they did not come out here on the passenger side. You are mis-informed here. I even have one in of my trucks iwith factory power steer and the origional bracket/pump is in exactly the same location on the passenger side

Cheers,
JEs

Have you had the truck from new?

Never seem one with OEM power steering on the passenger-side here yet, all the manuals show it to be on the drivers side too.

You may well be right but I suspect someone in the past may have done what I have done. It is a far better set up.

So all that work for 180kw is that at all 4?

So is it your engine horsepower thats 300kw, and 180kw at the wheels?

Thats still pretty cool, but I would have thought it would have made a bit more at the back.
