yea true. i have a perfectly good one on the car but they sit to low and give a bad departure angle, means it hits everything.. and i want to make something with a bit of pretection that gives a better departure angle..

HI 4x4, what age is your paj?

Your question is something I have thought long and hard about - I could make something but the corners have got me stumped to keep it very tidy and neat.

On my Gen 2 the bumpers raise up as they go around the corner, I might try something out of channel to run along the back then pipe running around the corners with one about the other to sort of fill the ugly gap having no bumper leaves.

But the factory bumper I ahve found can take some good knocks - it is well made but the plastic coating starts to look rough.

It is the fuel tank that worries me alot more, mine is a bit smaller than it was. Overkill did a great mod, that was lifting the tank.

G'day, there are some pic's of my custom rear bar on my lame website, the
link is below. It is made from heavy wall gal pipe and gal rectangle tube and
is sealed as a air tank. I also trimmed about 4" from the rear quarter panels.
Good luck with yours,
Kev.
