hi
i have a 92 swb sierra
im converting to coils and wanting to strech the ass end a bit to clear bigger tyres.. im putting in a coil surf diif and changing to EFI as well..
so to strech it i need to move fuel tank. to go efi id like to change tank to a factory efi one.
now my question is, what tanks have people used (prefferably from a factory car.. like a r31 skyline i think someone mentioned) and has anyone got pics of location. i want to retain my rear storage space.. i also have a body lift if that helps... not interested in a fuel cell in back

any help or comments greatly accepted

I can make a custom tank for u. It will cost u around $500 and i will be able to fit an intank fuel pump for u as well. Ill be able to make it to what ever size u need and shape. so depending on the size of the diff and springs ill say u will be able to easy get a 50 or more liter tank under there.

I have since moved on to a LWB but when I was planning my diff swap into a shorty I had planned to cut the rear floor out and raise it up to the level of the rear guards and incorporate it into my comp cut. I would then raise the fuel tank around 8 inches to create room for the diff which was going to be mounted directly under the tank. I had it measured up at 98in WB.

I should stress that I never actually went through with this cause like I said, I got a LWB cheap, but I did have it all marked and measured and as far as body work goes, it did seem fairly straightforward. You would lose a bit of interior space but I felt it was the easiest/cheapest way to get the fuel tank out of the way.

TBH though, having read ca18zook's post, I would probably PM him with the tank dimensions you need and save yourself a big headache.
