I run SSRs can't really help you,
but you may contact Richard (RPR on P44 and other LR boards),
he runs Q78 under the Tonka.

I don't remember if he's a registered user here as well.
He sounded happy last time I asked him about the tires.

I run q78's on my swb patrol, they measure 260mm across the tread and 300mm sidewall to sidewall. I find them quite good in all terrain except hardpack slippery clay where thay have no bite. They definately need grooving across the centre tread blocks to get the most out of them. I would consider a 35 x 10.5 or 35 x 11.5 simex as well. I will probably go back to 35 x 11.5 centipedes once these wear out.

cheers mate,

are the Q78's narrower than the 35 10.5 16 simex?

cause these measure 12inches wide, i thought the q78's were narrower

wish 900 16's were still around : (

I had Q78's on my county on 15x8 modded rangie rims
fitted well. The swampers were great I found them a great
alrounder & I will get them again when the treads on the car
I just got wear out. They sat well on 110k on highway to.
