brake valves?
are you talking about the rear preportioning valve? there's a spring that controls it and as the car get loaded up a lower, the spring pulls down on the prop. valve. the calmini arm has the spring bracket built in and should work ok.
on my green vit, i just took the spring bolt off, and put a set nut on a bolt in and it worked out ok. it was a set position where the rear drums would lock a moment after the front tyres locked.
reason i did that was, i wanted to have braking force to the rear at all times. and the prop valve doesn't work too good especially when the drums are full of sand and mud up here.
got rwc no worries. probably cos they didn't know about it, and that my rear drums on my vit would throw it off the rollers at the pits. who cars, they work.
if you want to have a working valve, look at using different length and tension springs.
on the factory spring, the ends of the spring have these fibre bushes. if they are gone, there is enough slack to basically render the valve in-operative.
