You cant call it PRE BENT, either it is bent or it's not, it's like PRE drilling a hole, either you drill the hole or you dont drill the hole. The list can go on and on, things cant be 'PRE finished' again they are finished or they are not finished.Zol wrote:Anyone know of a place in the western suburbs that sells pre-bent 3 inch piping.

if the rovers roll bar will ever serve any function, you should build it out of one pice, and use a decent wall thickness reguardless of weather or not its for looks.
i say that, cause if its going on there, and theres any chance it might get used, you atleast want it to do soemthing not just fold.

Time for a quick english lesson for some drunk and sober forumites alike. As long as we're getting anal about the language, may as well get it right.
Have you ever heard of prepaid mobile phone credit? The calls have been paid for, but in advance to being made.
I think your understanding of the prefix 'pre' is in accordance to definition b, meaning 'before the event'. Tube can be prebent in that it was bent earlier or before another event (in this case, the construction of the roll bar).
And you CAN in fact pre-drill a hole. In this context pre is an abbreviation of preliminary.
And now back to regular programming....

You've never heard of 'Prestressed concrete? It's definitely under stress, but it was done earlier?www.thefreedictionary.com wrote: pre

If the hole is to be 12mm, drilling a 3mm hole could be seen as 'preparing for the main business', which is of course the larger hole.www.thefreedictionary.com wrote: preliminary
