G'day all,
Just wondering if any of you guys on here have used weber carbs on ur 2.6 astron 1 engines and your overall impression on the swap ie power increase, driveability etc.

I had twin DCOEs on my Sigma, but that's probably not what you wanted to know about...
Yes, Weber conversions are common, but these days a conversion to Magna EFI is becoming popular. Search this forum for posts by member mrx78u, or have a look at

Thanks mate,
Yea just doing a bit of research for the old man, who is strictly carbs for offroad. Hes got the 4x4 l300 van with a fresh 2.6l astron 1. So im just poking for info on the weber downdraft 32/36 or 38/38 swaps that are apparently popular with these engines.

Yeah mate, I had a 32/36 on my first Sigma, and with a mild cam the thing was great.
Then again, I also had one with twin 48 side draughts and 5 grand worth of motor work, now that was unf#@kn believable!

Do you have an idea of what jets you will be running? Have you tried a single before?
