What clutch do I need?

Post by JacZook »

Hi all

I am in the process of doing a 1.6efi swap to Sierra gearbox in my 91 Sierra.

I have looked in the bible and could not really find anything on what clutch to use the Sierra 1.3 or 1.6 clutch.
Is ther really a difference between the two?

thaks ahead guys

If you are using the 1300 gearbox you HAVE to use the 1300 fly wheel soId say the 1300 clutch as well. As to type I have had a centreforce for going on 10 years only a weekend toy though. Its hard to push so the missus says and its hard to slip when needed so Im unsure what Id get next time.

Vitara flywheel wont fit inside a sierra gearbox housing. I used the sierra flywheel, bolts straight on, and a new Daikin Sierra clutch. Works fine.
06 Grand Vitara Prestige, 2" lift, Kumho A/Ts, ARB winch bar, snorkel, spotties. Also a Regal 2150 LSC Volva Penta 350 gsi duoprop, and a kayak ;-)
