ok guys im currently running 36"x12 pedes on my 7" lifted GU wagon and im want to put on some 38x15.5s and want to hear from anyone who has a gu with 38s and how bad did it scrub on front inner guards and did it hit radius arms etc on full lock??
I dont want this to be a discussion as to why i want 38s i would just like a bit of help!
I have fully flexed up with my s6s and it seems that 38 would be fine i would just have to extend my rear bump stops to it doesnt hit off the rear flairs, but wtill would like personal experiance's

38x12.5's on 10" rims and they scrub just a smiggin on the tray at full artic. +5" springs, 1" spacer, 2" body lift.
35x14.5 thornies scrub out on the rear chassis rail, but of course miss the tray. Your 15.5's may just do both --- but this is at full flex.
Up front in the inner guards may just need some minor trimming possibly.

The 38x 15.5 x15's are are on 15x12's on a GQ chassis apart from the gaurd clearance they did not fowl on the chassis or steering.

They are now on a SOA MQ chassis and still dont hit anything, just extend the bumpstops

GU ute 3in spring and 2in body.....so fouling on front at all....rears at full compression scrub chassis rail....
38x13R15 creepies on 15x10 custom rims...
rim offset will be the largest determining factor.
cheers

I had to make a little room in my fenders with larger front f/glass flares and cut some steel around the front body mount on the front, and ran 38 x 13/16 swampers, and 37" road tyres, and had a set of 40 x 16.5/17 s on 17 x 10" rims with 3.75" backspacing, that just touched everywhere.
It is possible to fit 38"s, and if for bush the 38 x 13 swampers are the go.
My GU on the 39'5's
and 37 x 13.5's

no spacers in mine. i did end up with the slightest touch at the back of the front guards when turning but all it took to fix was an extra screw in the plastic inner guard.

Yes, well, funnily enough, we didnt do any wiring on that vehicle, apart from remove the existing computer, and the loom, and new computer and loom were supplied by the owner from Castlemaine auto electrics, and the owner of the jeep had the same issue as you did, dealing with the same person, as far as time frames went, and completion, and they were 38" swampers, [not centepedes] which were mine i told you were roaded, and I showed them to you, he then tried to sell you as new I believe.
As much as that was the owner of the business, and your dad came in and stopped you from being allowed to purchase the vehicle you ordered, that was constructed for you, I would apreciate you name the person you dealt with, and stick to the facts, rather than tar us all with the same brush, based on assumptions.
The jeep is currently down having tailshafts made, and still isnt/hasnt been drivable since it left here.
Dont wish to start a war, and I understand why you have issues, but I do think the facts are important in such cases as this.

Front inner guards cut to fit 38's no sweat.
39's will apparently fit... just. As done by previous owner.

ok then it was cliff that we delt with, and no my dad didnt come down and stop me from buying the vehicle, i simply told him the story of cliff trying to sell second hand tyres as being brand new. When he arrived and asked cliff to come out of his little hole behind the counter and show him these apparently "new" tyres he agreed at first then realised if he took one step outside the shop he was going to get laid out.
and that jeep was at gordon avenue auto elecs in geelong today anyone not believing can call them on 52292404 just ask them what they think of ATS 4X4. in order to keep this issue off this forum let me know if you (nameless person behind ATS4X4) would like me to come back into the shop, this time maybe cliff wont be so gutless. The day after we walked away from your bodgy deal you sold the tyres as second hand used twice for just over $1000 to the bloke in the GQ coil can with RIGID stickers down the side.
mate you already have a bad name around geelong maybe you should stop ripping people off.
the purpose of all this is purely to warn other people about ATS4X4, they have alot of potential it is unfortunate cliff lets them down by lying out of his ass

the only person coming off as dodgy or whatever is dillza-69 threatening violence. How old are you exactly if you need your dad to do the deal?

Like I said, we didnt do any wiring on that vehicle, except remove the existing computer and some of the loom. An auto electrician may have done some electrical work on it, and ringing the auto elec would prove nothing, as they cant confirm we did it or not either.....
Now, next fact, those rims and tyres didnt go for $1000, I know, they were mine, and I sold them, regardless of what he told you, maybe get your dad to sort that one for you too.......
And as you confirmed, your dad did come down and sort your mess you created, for you, now I dont deny you got your dad to sort out your issue with Cliff, but I do ask youa ctually be factual about your accusations, and about exactly who your dad had to deal with to fix your dilema for you, after your mate was no longer able to speak on your behalf.
As for thinking violence would be tolerated in the workshop, by all, or any here, regardless, is a very immature outlook, and one you best think long and hard about, before getting yourself into any more situations that you cant resolve on your own, as an adult.
Do you see the irony here, that your accusing people of being dishonest, and you have now done the same thing yourself, do you see what effect that is having on you? your asking people to call a business that saw the vehicle a month after it left here, to confirm something you said, do you see that makes you no better in the honesty stakes than the person you had the issue with.....
Im done on this subject, but I am happy to discuss it by pm or phone with anyone who may require more information, as I have no axe to grind, not being involved in the initial process, only wanting to ensure the information is correct.
please resume normal programming.

it was hard to measure exactly but here is the best i could do.
mounting plate to inside of wheel > ~ 100mm
mounting plate to front of wheel (inside edge of inner beadlock ring) > ~180mm
would that equate -40 offset?
cheers
