hi all got a question ( or 2 lol ) for yas

A mate just bought a F20 4x4 soft top, runs a 4speed 4cylinder petrol, i drove it the other week and it hauls ass! its got 32' ( dont quote me on that though ) cooper muddies on sunraiser rimes with a locked rear, as far as we know its completely stock thats what the old fella said , BUT ( and here is the question ) we think the motor has been worked in some way or another, he can make 3rd chirp  ( clutch in, redline, drop clutch in 3rd = chirp, good thing its only a cheap run-a-bout  ) AND it can lift the front wheels in the air on the road about 1foot when ya drop the clutch, i really didnt expect it for this little $450 POS lol but it does it, now my uncle has EXACTLY the same 4x4 F20, and it does shit all, it would be lucky to even get up to 100kph lol what can i look for in the way of mods that have been done? my uncle took the powerful little F20 for a drive even he said the power in this thing is scary, so whats the go? what mods have been done to achieve this?

cheers :)

if you have physically looked in the bay and cant find anything obvious... ie a turbo!, then i would have to say that the power difference you are describing is a bit odd.

even with the internals maxed out and 100% perfectly tuned you are unlikely to see huge gains like what you are describing.

this is just my opinion though and i have been proved wrong many a time before!

I had an f20 if its stock it should have a 12r toyota motor (1600cc)

Mine had extractors and a weber and would pull 6800rpm all day.

And if you pulled the air cleaner off it would cirp 4th

If the rear is locked someone has been in there with the welder.

Post some pics if you can.

if you put it in low range and dont lock in the hubs with a good clutch you can normally do it. i can do it in my sierra good way to win bets but maybe not so good for the transfer
