That looks insane!!!! Some big dunes you goin up there I am not surprised you had heat probs with a motor like that in that environment.
Still absolutely insane though!!!!
One question?.... Why is your front shock mounted on such a big angle with the top towards the front??

there is another shock in the stock location as well. I think he likes to go fast!

Well, the patrol's owner, with a supercharged 502, obviously likes to go fast, but i believe he's in need of further modify the suspension, also i recommended him to install some wider tires, because when he lost momentum, he sinks really fast! Other pics:
In the last pic, all the mountains that you see in the background are sand dunes. No wonder we have the 2nd tallest dune in the world, exactly in that area.

Is close, but not quite the same place.
And it's THE driest place in the world.

Righto then where did I leave thatquad cam V8 with twin turbo's in NOS cos I think we need a road/boat trip. That place looks like a world of fun.
You wouldnt like to get it sideways on the dune cos that would be one hell of a roll over.

now if only those hills were covered in snow then we could have some fun!!

we got plenty of hills like that here covered in snow.....maybe bigger as they rise an easy 6,000 feet in elevation very fast. But like anything...when you live in snow for 6+ months a year it gets old.
Those sure are cool dunes though and large is an understatement! Sorry if I missed it but I am assuming this is in S.America?? Doesn't really look like the Middle East to me....where exactly is this??
Great to see there is lot's of people around to help the trucks that have misfortune. Roll like that alone and you are screwed. Plus that is one huge motor stuffed in a Patrol!
If you know what a sand board is that places looks awesome to ride one on. Even a tow rope behind a 4x4 on a sand board there would rock!
Sorry to hijack the thread but this Patrol woould be sweet in those conditions...
and BTW this is a custom made Aussie Patrol.
