Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi there ive sold my 4.8 out of my GU but do i need to part with the key as it is coded to that wiring loom and computer or can you bypass this system as i dont really want to have to change all of my locks

its going in to a GQ so any info on how the coded key works or what part of the wiring loom you need to bypass would be good to no or if there is another way around this problem
