Hi All,
A while ago I saw some plans of someone who made some draws from timber for the back of their surf.
I have tried searching but had no luck and wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of some plans or designs they have seen.
thanks in advance
Brett

If you're interested I made some draws up. I used the aluminium cubelock system from Capral aluminium. I'm pretty sure I still have some rough drawings lying around somewhere of the box sections for the construction of the draws.

Yeh, cubelock is amazing stuff. I am debating using it to make a storage drawer system for the back of my ute after I did this using it in my Vitara:
Here is what it looked like when i took the rack out (it was held in by 8 bolts:
You just tap the fittings in with a rubber hammer. To bolt everything together, use 1/4" Tee nuts(they don't have metric nuts that look like this.

Countersinlk the top of the ply with a 3/4" wood bit a couple of mm, tap the Tee nut into place and then glue marine carpet over the top.
Cubelock also works with a Capral extrusion which has a lip on it. i reckon that if you used that for drawers and cut insets for the bottom and sides out of ally plateand pop rivet them to the lip, you's be onto a winner as there would be no weight on the plastic fittings. The fridge slide in my rack was a 100kg drawer slide from Hafale:

But for ute drawers, I'd probably use some rollers on angle iron like the Engel Fridge Slides.
Cheers
