hey got a 4x4 triton club cab . runs on lpg and the tank is fitted out the back of the vehicle which makes no room for tyre ..
the tyre is on back standing up in vision but i need ute space . was thinking to cut out of steel tray and make hinges and a trap door for wheel to fit underneath tray ontop of fuel tank ?? recomended??? im unsure measures up okay ??

Only problem I can see is having the spare accessed through a panel in the floor of the tray - what happens when you have a tray full, and need the spare?

Winding the torsion bars is relatively simple, but you'll need a good wheel alignment afterwards - find a 4wd specialist, don't take it to Bob Jane or similar.

Rear springs could be replaced or reset. I'm not up on those costs - anywhere between $200 & $600? Longer shackles will also give you lift, but I'm not sure of the legalities.

have u thought of going back to who ever did the gas conversion and asking if they can move the gas tank to the right hand side opposite the fuel tank where the exhaust is. that where mine is and only issue is the exhaust is a tiny bit lower than the tank but i havent destroyed it yet and i go off road a far bit.
