i done the part time kit to mine i got the marks adaptors part time kit in mine but i dont like the avm hubs that comes with the kit as i have broken a couple and ya cant go to arb or anyone to get a new hub becuase they must be a specially made item for the 105 landcruisers but if you get the hubs off a dx model 105 series cruiser and get the constant 80 series cvs and change them over the genuine hubs will fit they are a much stronger hub the kit is pretty easy to kit only takes 4 hours to fit it the kit costs about 600$ installed for about 300$ but you can save the money and do it your self

Why bother?

Lash - yeah possibly, maybe
Fuel Economy - no diff to driving with your hubs in on normal part time 4wd. Most ppl reckons on extended testing it makes no difference.

The factoy toyota ADD still spins 1/2 the diff, just not the crown wheel and pinion.

Plus you lose the wet weather traction of AWD.

Yes, but 2wd does much tighter donuts than leaving the centre diff lock unlocked, and locking the rear ;)
