80 series a442f question

Post by killalux »

I have a question regarding the landcruiser a442f auto trans. I am looking into using it behind a gen 3 V8. The prob is with the elctronic contolls on the auto. The shift solonoids and lock up solonoid are not a prob,
The question is what is the shift timing solonoid? what does it controll and how does it controll it. Does anyone have experience in converting these to a manual shift?

thanks
steve

Have a talk with Rodney at Wholesale automatics as he knows lots about cruiser autos. He may do a full manual kit?
