put a 5k corrolla engine in my swb sierra. took it off road for the first time on the weekend and has massive flooding issues. just wondering wether this is because the corrola engine wasnt built for offroad and something speical needs to be done or if i just need to reset the float and mixture screw

cheers

A Corolla carby is an Aisin and is very similar to a Suzuki carby.
If setup properly it should be just as capable offroad as a Zook carby.
Zook and Corolla carbs have the same baseplate stud pattern and are a common swap on Zooks.
Check the usual things...Idle mixture, float level, needle and seat and vacuum hoses.
Flooding is usually too high a float level or a stuck open or sticky needle.
Check the basics and go from there.
