Twin transfers

Am looking at putting twins in my vitara cos I figure it is cheaper than changing ratios in both transfer and diffs.
Anybody got any approximate figures of what it would cost. Just enquiring cos I think I've got a pretty good quote.

Why not convert to sierra gearbox and tcase with rock hopper???
You would even be able to offload the vit gearbox and xfre to recoup costs??
Just a suggestion.

Because the Sierra gearbox and transfer case is gonna have gearing for 35" tyres which will never fit under the Vitara...
It will have gearing for 38" rubber if you put a rockhopper in the tcase.
remember the 5.12 diffs?
You can do it if you get 4.6 vitara diffs (which are made of the ultra rare element unobtanium) and dont rockhopper it with maybe 31" 32" rubber.
Or else in conjunction with something like a Hilux diff swap.
Otherwise you're gonna be gevving to 5000 rpm plus on the highways.

vitara/sierra combo will be about $2000 fitted including shafts. Am considering fitting it up myself, hope to get out of it for around $850 doing it myself.

I wont be doing it for a while, got to spend on a couple of other things first, unfortunately not car related. Mine will be a one off, don't want to take work away from Joe at 4play offroad (9761 4694).
