Firstly what oil are you using? I recommend Penrite HPR Diesel or Penrite SIN Diesel
How often do you rev out to 4000rpm?
Ive found that turbo TD42's tend to use a little bit of oil... but not a great deal

Mine will use about 500 ml - 1 l in 5000 kms of mainly highway driving at 120 kms/hr. If I lower my speed and the RPM, it hardly uses anything. I am presuming more oil gets by at higher rpm. I'm using Delo 400 10W40. I don't see any smoke and like you no leaks. The power is good, so I am not worried.

Mine doesn't use any noticeable amount of oil. 257,000km using caltex delo 400. Its atmo though. I wouldnt say its unusual for a turbo to use a bit more oil than an atmo engine especially if the driver has a heavy foot.
Thats including a trip from sydney to brisbane travelling at 110km/hr in many places.

It shouldn't use any oil if the rings and seals are right
mine has 258,000K's on her and i give her a hard time, i rev mine to 4200RPM in 3rd when i get onto the F3 at the Kariong interchange heading for Newcastle, thats to get her to 100K's going up the hill, and i never use any oil between changes.

Hi Mate
My 1998 GU with after market Garrett Seamed to pull oil from Pressure relief at the back of the engine. I ve removed it from returning to the non pressurized side which stop it pulling oil out of the block and put a Catch can in place to catch the oil if it comes out ive had it in place for 10000km and not a cent of oil in it or any oil loss
