Ok the gearbox in the 73 is rooted and will need swapping.

When Ian was out he reckons I should get one of my two spares rebuilt and then install it. I would rather just chuck one in and see how we go. It is hard other here as the 60 really isn’t worth as much as the states and it is harder to warrant throwing the cash in. If then the 2nd box is rooted well I might then invest in a rebuild.
So my question is, what is the easiest way to drop a new box in
1- Preferably on a hoist drop tail shafts and the take out the gearbox/ transfer ?
2- Can you also take the floor out without touching the tub to assist with the process. I ask this as I need to fix the seat supports and would make all the work easier at the same time.
Will be honest, not really looking forward to it and am thinking I might try and get access to my local mechanic workshop to get access to a hoist ? Not sure how I will go ? Then trying to balance the box/ transfer on a gearbox stand will be fun as well. Also need to disconnect the PTO just to make it harder.
