Hi all
I'm gonna fit some 35"s to my gq, what rim offset should i ask for when buying new rims? Stay with the nissan offset or go for another?

Cheers

What size wheel as this effects the clearance as well.
With an 8" I'd get at least -11 but prefferable a -16 to -20. But this makes the track wider so this is also another factor with reguads to legality. I run -19 with 15x8 an 35x11.5 Simex but that is on a MWB tray back with the cab shifted so not really very relevant to you.

I'll be getting a 15x8" rim. I'm not really worried about legality, there for play. The tires i'm getting are MT Claws, 35x12.5x15. Will i get away with 8" rims or should i go 9"?

for GQ..........
No need to goto anything else but the standard 'Landcruiser' offset, this will increse your track a bit for off road
15x8 is accepted pretty well for 35's (neg22) @$55 for white......or
16x8 for 35's (neg13ish)@$100 for white

so are you saying that -22 offset should be enough? I brought a new set of rims a couple of months ago and they are -23. what is the actual offset of the landcruiser rims?

Landcruiser is normally -14, Patrol is normall -9 but that depends on exact models etc etc.
I have -21 16x8's and I think both of my sets of 15's are -14. I think someone does a -26 and that would be good for a narow tyre.
With the Silverstone 35x10.5's on the -21 the outside of the tread is in the same place as Simex 35x11.5 on -14.
