mysterious brake problems... PLEASE help!

Hello people. Has anyone every heard of something as strange as this. My rocky's brakes work too good! When i drive the Rocky i can only VERY lightly press the brakes when i want to stop. If i forget and comfortably lay on them (as with most vehicles) the car pitches forward violently, and almost locks up. This doesn't change with speed. It is touchy all the time. Has anyone ever heard of this kind of thing happening? What is wrong? I've taken it to two brake "specialists", and they can't pinpoint the problem. So maybe someone out there has had this problem with their Rocky/Feroza, and if not, if you have any ideas, or discussion on the issue, please don't hesitate to post, or email me directly crombiex@hotmail, or call 803 413 7466. Thanks!

I'm no brake expert, but it sounds like a proportioning valve problem. It's supposed to regulate the bias between the front and rear brakes.
On most vehicles it's mounted on the firewall- all the brake lines run into it from the master cylinder and then off to each wheel (only one brake line runs to the rear on the Ferozas/ Rocky's). Looks just like a lump of metal- nothing special.
good idea

Thanks... i've never even heard of that, but it sounds like a good idea. It makes sense. I looked online a bit for that part, but no luck. Any idea where to get it? Does anyone else out there have any thoughts on this subject? Any help is appreciated!

had a similar problem with my works courier ute the prob turned out to be a slightly gummed up valve which was creating to much pressure with the vacuum assist. problem solved by replacing all brake fuid, if your not comfortable/ capable do not attempt by yourself +check all seals while there. Good luck! (its a prick of a job!)
