Engine Mounts

Post by jtraf »

Other than Genuine mounts where else can I buy engine mounts for my 94 model TD42 auto Patrol.....

I have a fair amount of vibration especially when in reverse under power and believe new mounts are the way to go.....but at $106 each from Nissan it seems a little steep..

Have no idea what is causing your vibration but am pretty sure its not being caused by your engine mounts. Put it in Drive with a foot on the brakes and give it a rev. If your engine wants to leap out you need to replace a mount. if not your prob is elsewhere.

Also beware - some aftermarket mounts are dodgy and they knock because the two plates clash. Engine mounts are about the only thing I will buy genuine from nissan

does any one have pics of limit straps?
do you make them or buy them?

Had the car up on a mates hoist doing some service work before i head off up the Darling for easter and found my passenger side mount has let go, was a genuine Nissan one new 15000kms ago.

So need to get and fit a new one tomorrow - would be good to fit a limit strap at same time.

any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Jacko
