80 series sub fuel gauge

while out wheeling, i have ripped out the wire from the gas tank to the sub fuel gauge. Does any one know where this wire is located and what colour is it ??

you can access the sender by lifting the carpet in the boot and using a phillips head screw driver lift the little cover in the floor. seems rather odd that it has ripped out! my wiring loom it well protected.

thanks, ill have a look tomorrow, maybe i dint make the post too clear, the sub tank has been taken out and a lpg tank put in, the wire from the lpg tank to the gauge has been ripped out. But this gives me a good starting point. thank you

axel i snapped the wires from my sub tank to the gauge, it passes through a gronnet in the floor on the passanger side rear door, i just solded mine back together i dont know were u broke the wire but have a look there.

dont know mate as i just had to join about 5 or 6 or them together so i just followed the coulors

yellow and blue goes from sender to gauge, black and red is sender ground.
