I want to put some better seats in the Hilux without spending big bucks on new aftermarket ones.
What is the best seats for ease of fittment to a 89 Hilux. Something obtainable from a wrecker.
I did a search as I thought I read something about Surf stuff but couldnt find it again.
Thanks

Most importers have heaps of them for good $$$

i have skyline r32 seats in my 86 4runner. 3 of the bolts line straight up, only one bolt needs an extender made up which is a piece of piss.

Du AU or VS seats fit in, or do the rails need to be changed?
ryzzy, for your r32 seats, what do you mean by extenders? Got a pic by any chance?

SR5 4runner or Surf seats are the most comfy, and DONT require engineering like another manufacturers would.
I paid $150 for my front two!

Surf seats it is, although Im a bit scared of what Sydney wreckers would want. I saw a pair of Recaro's in a Surf, dont know if they were standard trim or aftermarket.

Most want around $400 (when i was looking) have a good look around, if you can find someone wrecking one you would get them cheaper.
I put monza ones in mine, are comfortable and only cost $250 for the pair on special from repco

recaros are standard in a few surfs.
also, many lexus seats bolt in... just think, leather, fully adjustable everything, possibly heated if you pick the right ones....

How do they go width wise in the small cab? The leather buckets in the AU2 XR8 I had are still the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat in....

Looked at some AU seats today and both mounting points on them are flat inline with the rail . No L shape like the lux
