Anyone gone the same way as this guy from Pirate:
RockMolester wrote:I decided to use ARB's line of Old Man Emu springs, shocks, and struts, but I decided to try something a little different. I used the OME962 springs in front, which is actually designed for the front of the 99+ Grand Vitara. It has the same spring rate as the medium-duty front Sidekick LWB springs, but a 15mm taller ride height. In back, the GV uses a different rear coil, so I chose the medium-duty Sidekick rear springs in back, OME955. Along with these springs, I used the N103S and N32 struts & shocks...

I need to replace the suspension in my LWB and will be going OME. I've had no experience with spring spacers and wonder how people rate them.

Anyone that has done the same suspension setup with anything to add would be appreciated.

If your going to use spacers put some silicone or some sort of glue on them first to get them to stick up there in the spring mount, otherwise if you do like doing a bit of 4wheeling and the go full flex they can fall out if the shock is a long one.

Other wise this has been discussed many a times and there is heaps in the Vit bible

Thanks for the reply. Had previously read those and was hoping for more opinion on GV front end setup.

Thanks for the tip on the spacers :D

this may not help you but...

I am running standard GV coils in the front of mine. ('93 LWB Vit)

I was hoping for a bit of lift but got none (b'bar, winch, batts + everything else doesn't help) so have added some spacers.

I have been considering a similar scenario as that thread but I would like to avoid using spacers in the back.

Keep researching...

With the weight on the front end you might be able to get away with the setup suggested as is without spacers. The lifted GV coils would be close to level (with winch etc) with the lifted Vit rears, though it would be a gamble (prob have to go mediums). The 180sx springs work (3" of lift) for the SWB's but have had mixed results for the LWB's.

I'll keep looking...

unfortunately I don't know my ARB dealer well enough to do that much R&D.

(In fact they usually look at you very strangely and tell you what a stupid idea that is :? )
