Weighed my gq (TB42e)
Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:20 am
Went away during the week with the mrs.
I thought i would weigh the gq as there is a weigh bridge near my house and i carry a similar load of camping gear and fridge a lot of the time.
I had, dome tent, fridge, air bed, clothes a little food, 90l of lpg, 35l of petrol, my alloy rims and 265A/T. What a shock i got when it showed up as 2650kg!!! I only have an arb winch bar and 10,000lb winch, no sliders, rear bar roof racks!! I could see the weight going over 3000kg on an extented trip with some extra fuel and more camping gear!!
Cheers

PS: My GQ still kicked butt in Robe!!! Passed so many bogged ppl and got up everything we tried. However i did get bogged once just b4 we left the beach at beachport......dam it was soft!!!
Got around 21l/100km (gas) geting there and back on the freeway, around 26l/100km around the grampians with tyres down to 25psi and around 28-29l/100km on the beach in robe with tyres down to 17psi but giving it heaps up and down the dunes!!! Still better than my mate in his tb42 shorty on 35's.....40l/100km (lpg)!!! Obviously had tuning issues. Not so cheap to run when we were paying around 86c/L in Robe!!
