tb42e Turbo size and inyectors

Hello!

I was doing a stroker for my tb42, but its as expensive as turbocharging, so im going to use turbo :)

The motor is now balanced, crower stage 2 camshaft, springs, etc and... the question.

Turbo:

XS power: i have read in many posts that these turbos usually get destroyed.
Masterpower: seems to be fine, but they spool slower than a garret.
Garret: ideal, but a little expensive :(

Size:
t3/t4
Gt28
etc

Ballbearing or not ?

I wannt to rev the motor to 6.000 or maybe 6500 (i think with the setup will not be a trouble), but i wannt to start blowing at 2.000rpm.
Any recomendation?

What about the inyectors size?
550?

Expecting no more than 8-10psi. Maybe 200KW or maybe a little more. :)

Ahh, only petrol...we wave no gas here in chile.

Any help would be appreciatte.

Thanks
Chris

Where abouts did you get your motor done? Any idea on cost?? Looking at going down the same path later on. How much better does it go now?

those are small turbos.

you need a GT35.42r or a to4z i beieve it is.

these turbos give awsome power all through the revs.

deffinatly don't want gt28's they are the turbo's that i was using but i had two of them hanging off the side of my head that setup worked great for me. XR6 turbo probably a little to laggy but depends on how you drive it but a GT35/40 with a .8 ex is the go. If the Garret is scaring you for cost then stay away from turbonetics new range lots better than garrets but you pay for them trust me.

Yep, Turbonetics new GTK range, also known around the traps as GT Killers as a sly dig to Garret.

Hello!

Well, the cost is about 1500US (a friend of mine work at nissan and i can get the parts very cheap) , im in chile, so everything cost the double :(
That includes:

intake,plenum (mine is carburated)
inyectors
engine rebuild (not the pistons, they are fine)
gaskets
clutch
sensors
"mariposa" from a vh45 (the thing who let the air flow, where the tps is) dont know the name in english.
couple of sensors
new bolts
new oil pump

motor balanced, engine cleanup (bock and head). (400US)

The crower cam is not included. :) (270US)

the ecu will be a megasquirt II (1000US installed, that includes the harness and related stuff)

About 3.000US everything

everything brand new.

need the turbo, wastegate, intercooler and blow off. (dont know for now)
thats expensive!!!

Maybe is wat not worth the engine rebuild, cause when we dismanteled the engine it was almost new (300.000km), but im very exquisit. (i like new engines :) )

greets
chris
