over here in the west all u have to do is change the engine number as it does not exceed the increase in cc, so its safe to say just do it and wa vs qld laws are pretty much on par, but if ur worried about it make a phone call.

Im doing the same conversion, and have got approval in princible, but they say I need an engineer because
1 structural integrity
2 g16b must comply with LA2
3 exhaust must comply with LT4
4 SUitability of transmission LB1
5 Suitability of fuel system LM
6 Any other tests the consultant my deem nessecary
7 Mandatory upgrade of safety equipment
8 All checklists completed by qualified person presented with engineers report
I d like to get this conversion police passed but this is rediculus,
WE are only talking 300 cc, no wonder most people dont bother with passing it
Let us know how you go me217
Im in the west, maybe the law has changed recently

what a crock of of shit, i went to the welshpool pits ( the head inspection centre) and asked about the conversion, he said no probs just fill out this change of engine number form and thats all i had to do.
