Most bigger cams will give you more power but higher in the rev range, so to get full use of that power some transfer or diff gears would be nice.

Supercharger or turbo it
If your going to rebuild it why not build it to handle some boost later on!!
Makes perfect sence to me.
I am doing this to my 5ltr atm.
helps spread the cost over time! ;) ;)

dont waste ur time on one of those cams, all they are is re ground standard cams, if u want to go down that path got to a reputible cam shop and get yours re ground, when i got mine done it was only about 60 bux, but that was a few years ago, then i re powered with 1.6 mpfi

go a bigger carby. Noticable increase in power with a few different choices. vitara carb bolts straight on and has "claimed" seat of the pants difference. 32/36 webber with adapter plates work well for more guts but just look around. I was running 34s with 4.57 diff gears and 4.9 trail tough tranny and could cruise on the highway at 100km/h, with a nikki 2 barrel carby. To get the most out of the cam you should go bigger exhaust and extractors and intake to get it breathing. gwagensteve is running a blown 660 on 34s and cruises at ~90-100km/h. Power isn't everything, gotta have the gearing right too. search in the suzuki section and you will find your answers :D

thanks fellas i would love to supercharge it but being on my P plates i cant so internal work is my limit is the vitara carby worth looking into? or another carb? im not going weber because i like angles and they dont. an roughly how much would i be looking at for a set of 4.57 diff gears? sorry jsut new to all this stuff but trying to learn quickly as im sick of copin shit off other 4x4ers cause its not a hilux but we all know the zooks are just as capable if not better :D :D

Try suzi 4 wreakers in dunhevead?? sydney. Mine were about $350 delivered others charge more than that for one!!
Also t/c from the states is a cost effective option more benifits too :D

the diff gears were around 220US from memory plus lots of shipping. I'd definitely go transfer gears before diff gears. I only went diff gears As I went from 31s to 34s and already had the tranny gears but wanted lower again.

Vitara carby gives good results....search!
